there is this band from Jamestown NY called Phantasm. They were a four piece including a guitarist, a basest, a drummer, and a DJ. they hated what they heard on the radios, calling it recycled bullshit, and went out to make their own music, totally unlike the angst and teenage drama that was so common. They took inspirations from such artists as Zappa, mixing hard rock with funk, and cramming it full of sex and satire! they wanted to make something entirely new, so they used odd scales, and strange instruments. Their fame around their hometown grew, and it soon became regional. They then started touring along the East cost, then into the central states.
I joined in somewhere during that, and began using my talents and popularity to get the word out about them.
These icons a friend of mine made, and I just had to use them, too XD The second links to their myspace, and the first to their website. You should give them a listen! They have 5 on their site and 5 on the ST site that's in their top 8.
